I’ll be writing monthly for a new blog, Completely Devoted, which hosts many other wonderful women writers from all over the world. We are striving to encourage each other and women everywhere. My first post is up today. Come on over!

I love my husband.

I love him

His 27th birthday came and went without much fanfare (we were in the Bangkok airport, sleeping on metal benches…), but that doesn’t mean anything in the measurement of how much he is appreciated.

Michael, you are:

Loving ~ Kind ~ Thoughtful ~ Brave

Compassionate ~ Willing ~ Hilarious ~ Honest

Inquisitive ~ Adventurous ~ Intelligent ~ Crazy

Sarcastic ~ Wise ~ Ridiculous ~ Creative ~ Sincere

and

INCREDIBLE!!!!!!!!!!

I’m overwhelmed with gratitude. God gave you to me, a gift that keeps on giving. Every day you wake up beside me is another day of miracles.

Happy birthday, Michael!

ps Additional adjectives welcome.

At the beginning of the month, I was really glad that there’s not much Christmas hustle and bustle in Taipei. God’s been teaching Michael and me both about waiting quietly for Jesus during the Advent season, and remembering what He even came for in the first place: our hearts.
However. Tonight I am lonely and wish there was a way to just get home for a brief spell by the fireplace, a moment to study the beautiful tree in silence, a song or two with the family. There’s a reason God gave us each other. YOU ARE the best gifts I ever received.
the best gifts.
